How to get to Ustroń

Ustroń can be reached by train from Warsaw via Katowice, or by plane to Katowice (Pyrzowice}, and then by train. Pyrzowice airport has direct connections to several European airports. There is a mini bus service between the airport and the centre of Katowice (about 30 min.) The travel from Katowice to Ustroń by train takes about 1h 45min. There will be a bus for the Symposium participants leaving the Institute of Physics on the 13th of November at 8.00 a.m. Those interested in taking the bus should notify in advance the Symposium committee. Directions: By car to Wisla. After arriving to Ustron Polana pass the cable car station to Czantoria (on the right), turn left into Wczasowa Street (after railroad crossing) and after the bridge turn left on Turystyczna Street (see the map Ustron and road map (pilot.pl). By bus or train towards Wisla Glebce. Get off at Ustron Polana station, turn left by a paper mill and use a hanging bridge leading to Turystyczna Street. See Ustron map and train departures (PKP). From Ustron Polana train station you can reach the Symposium site in hotel "Lesnik" by taxi (about 10 zl or 2.5 Euro). By air to Katowice or Krakow (airports Pyrzowice and Balice). Take a bus or taxi to Katowice and then continue by bus or train towards Wisla Glebce. See LOT
